Dear Colleagues,
The FSOSW planning committee invites abstract submissions for our 2026 conference. The event will be held in St. Augustine Beach, Florida, from September 16–18,2026. We invite psychosocial oncology practitioners from all disciplines to submit abstracts for the conference entitled:
Anchored in Care: Advancing What’s Next.
As oncology care continues to evolve, oncology social workers and practitioners remain anchored in compassion, ethics, and human connection while advancing innovative approaches that expand access, strengthen care delivery, and improve outcomes for patients and families. The 2026 conference will explore the vital role of oncology social work at the intersection of humanity, access, and innovation.
We welcome proposals that reflect clinical excellence, practical application, emerging practices, and diverse perspectives across the cancer continuum.

Conference Objectives:
- Anchored in Care: Clinical Excellence & Psychosocial Practice - Evidence-based psychosocial interventions , Ethical challenges and professional boundaries, Supporting patients and families across diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care, Grief, trauma, and serious illness care
- Advancing Access: Reducing Barriers in Cancer Care Navigation, care coordination, and system integration, Financial toxicity and access to resources, Clinical trials education and participation, Addressing disparities in rural and underserved communities
- Innovation in Practice: Tools, Technology, and New Models Digital health, EHRs, and integrated care models, Use of data, outcomes, and quality improvement, AI and emerging technologies in psychosocial oncology, Program development, evaluation, and scaling impact
- Leadership, Sustainability, and Workforce Well-Being Burnout prevention and resilience, Supervision, mentorship, and professional development, Leadership roles within healthcare systems, Preparing the future oncology social work workforce
- Humanity at the Center: Culture, Compassion, and Connection Culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, Communication in high-stakes clinical situations, Family systems, caregiving, and survivorship, Meaning-centered and strengths-based practice
FSOSW encourages submissions from clinicians, researchers, educators, students, and interdisciplinary partners. First-time presenters and diverse voices are strongly encouraged to apply. The conference will provide opportunities for practitioners and scientists to share their work at all levels of social work practice: micro, macro and policy.
Proposals will only be accepted by on-line submission.
