Hello FSOSW Members,

I am 1/2 through my 2nd term as President of FSOSW. We are 43 years as an incredible organization. We have a dedicated group of Board Members  that make the role that much easier as we all have the common goal and mission to keep FSOSW as an engaged collaborative organization that supports each and every one of US!

I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to share knowledge, promote best practices, and build a community of support that enhances both our professional and personal growth. Your commitment to the field of oncology social work makes a lasting impact, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish together in the future.

On behalf of the Florida Society of Oncology Social Workers, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for your continued membership, dedication, and service to the oncology community across our state.

Every day, oncology social workers provide compassion, advocacy, education, and support to patients and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. Your commitment to improving the emotional, psychosocial, and practical well-being of those affected by cancer is truly inspiring. The work you do matters deeply, and FSOSW is proud to represent such an extraordinary group of professionals.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our organization, I encourage you to renew your FSOSW membership and help spread the word about our organization to your colleagues and peers. Your involvement helps us expand educational opportunities, strengthen professional connections, and advocate for the important role oncology social workers play within cancer care.

Please also save the date for the 2026 FSOSW Annual Conference, taking place September 16–18, 2026, in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. The theme of this year's conference is "Anchored in Care. Advancing What's Next."

We are excited to come together once again for learning, collaboration, networking, and professional growth.

In addition, our Call for Abstracts is now open through the first week of June. We encourage members to share their expertise, innovative programs, research, and clinical experiences by submitting a presentation proposal for this year’s conference.
