Dear Colleagues,
The FSOSW conference planning committee is pleased to announce a call for abstracts presentations and workshops during its 41st annual conference that will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 11-13, 2024. We invite psychosocial oncology practitioners from all disciplines to submit abstracts for the conference entitled:
Harmony in Healing: Comprehensive Approaches to Oncology Social Work
This year's conference will underscore the integration of mind, body, and spirit in cancer care, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive approach that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social aspects of a cancer experience. Sessions will focus on psychosocial interventions tailored to diverse oncology populations. Additionally, discussions will explore community resources, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative models of care that prioritize overall well-being. This conference aims to inspire oncology social workers to embrace comprehensive approaches, foster resilience, and promote healing and quality of life for individuals affected by cancer.
At this year’s conference, we will examine comprehensive approaches to cancer care as we come together in St. Petersburg, FL.

Conference Objectives:

Introduce innovative practices and research to enhance oncology social work practice.

Develop strategies for incorporating and promoting effective and tailored interventions for patients.

Promote the education and evidence-informed approaches for holistic patient care.
- Support Oncology Social Workers in addressing the diverse communities we serve.
Through original research presentations and workshops, the conference will provide opportunities for practitioners and scientists to share their work at all levels of social work practice, micro, macro, and policy.
